TEACHER SPOTLIGHT - MS. BRENDA

Ms. Brenda is one of our Weebles teachers. She grew up in Iuka, Mississippi. She is one of 6 children, 5 girls and 1 boy. Brenda is married to Willie, together they have one child, Shelby. Shelby is about to have a baby boy, Eli this will be Ms. Brenda's first grandchild. Eli is due in June. We are so excited for their family. 

Ms. Brenda has been in childcare for 19 years and at TCCC for 3. She loves to sing with the babies. She went into childcare because she really cares for young children and their early development. She also likes being a part of the shaping of their characters. She loves TCCC because of the atmosphere. You can help Ms. Brenda in the classroom by being sure to remember the things that are highlighted to bring for your child. At home to help out you can help out by practicing hand washing. If Brenda had to teach another age she would want to teacher 2 year olds because they are at that in between stage of still being a baby and a toddler and too busy but still discovering. If she was not a teacher she would like to be a counselor of some sort.

When Brenda was a child she loved playing the xylophone. If Ms. Brenda is having a bad day candy usually helps. Her favorite song is "You Send Me" by Aretha Franklin. Her favorite movie is Wizard of Oz and her favorite television show is Andy Griffith. Her celebrity crush is Robert DeNiro. Her favorite foods are Honey Nut Cheerios, pasta, almond milk, and fresh fruits and vegetables. Some of her hobbies are reading, writing and watching old movies. If Ms. Brenda had some extra money she would put it in the bank and save it. 

TCCC is so blessed to have Ms. Brenda. She is a great teacher and loves her babies. She has a good attitude and is always ready to work with a smile on her face.
