TEACHER SPOTLIGHT - LESLEY EATON

Lesley is our PreK teacher. She grew up in Lexington, Kentucky. She went to college at UK and EKU. Her major was Early Childhood Education. Lesley is married to John. She is a mama to 2 awesome boys John Ray, 10 and Eli, 7. They also have a dog name Giambi who is 11. Lesley's parents, brother, nieces and Grandmother all live in Kentucky. Growing up Lesley's favorite childhood toys were a football, a kickball and a bike.

If Lesley is having a bad day she likes to talk to her bestie Ms. Leigh. She also likes to hang out outside. Her favorite song is Stay by Florida Georgia Line. Lesley does not have a lot of time to watch movies but she does catch The Following every week. Her celebrity crush is Shemar Moore. Lesley's favorite food is granola, pizza, cheeseburgers, french fries, and avocados. Lesley's hobbies are sports, being outside, and swimming. Usually if Lesley is not at work you can find her cheering on her boys while they are playing sports. If Lesley were not a teacher she would like to learn to cook. If she had some extra money she would do projects around the house and she would take her boys somewhere that they have never been.

Lesley is a wonderful addition to TCCC. She is very calm and always has fun and exciting activities for the children. Lesley has been at TCCC for 8-9 years. She came to Tusculum because a neighbor told her that we were hiring. She hated the thought of being away from her kids during the day so it worked out well. Her favorite thing to do with her class is to read. Lesley is fortunate to have a great group of parents right now. Some things that the parents could do at home to help Lesley is to reinforce listening and following directions. She also likes when the parents drop their children off and leave. Sticking around makes the transition tough on her and the children. If Lesley had to teach another age group she would teach the 3 year old class because she is familiar with the age group.

We are blessed to have Lesley as a part of our staff. She is always looking at the bright side of things and finding the good in every situation. She can make anyone smile or laugh if they are having a bad day. TCCC LOVES LESLEY!!
